Seth is rocking out in this version. A few years ago, Seth was doing a small private show for his friend Chris Roosen in Northville, MI and we were talking about our favorite artists. After about three or four, I told him one of my all time favorites was Sophie B Hawkins. Much to my surprise he told me he was your musical director. And here he is playing keys and singing background. Very talented and super nice guy.

Such an underrated song. Another talent shafted by the stupid industry. Yet, she still carries on!!

I grew up enjoying this performance from the Bob Dylan tribute concert! My parents taped it off and I fell in love with it. Kept going back from time to time to watch it into my teens until I moved out. That tape was probably the last cassette i ever put in a VCR :) This song was my favorite one from the whole show. It gave me goose bumps every time. Thank You so much for sharing this! and hello from Newfoundland! The performance still gives me goosebumps, but for many different reasons now. As a 7 year old kid, I guess I just witnessed the raw emotion and connected with it. But now, having my own life to reflect on, I can really feel it for myself. :)

The whole other video, shes so much cuter. Walking through the city and dancing w the band. This, her makeup hides her beauty and she looks stupid in a loin cloth. The dancers are odd and dont translate past 1980 .and she walks like a weird, skinny, see through lion. I saw this video my whole youth and she did nothing for me. The new on made me a lil gay and idk why i never liked her before... I get now. Cringe. I have to rinse out w the other video. No doubt shes probably more weird like this but ill pretend because the lyrics are great when u dont see this oddity

The original (music video) arrangement of Right Beside You always had a spiritual, almost cathartic, feel to it despite being a damce club staple. Playing it with no frills like this makes it even more soulful and warm. Just beutiful.
